Initiating the Sign-Up Process: Visit Amazon Seller Central and click on the 'sign up' option. It's important to create a new account using an email address that hasn't been previously associated with any Amazon account, rather than using your personal Amazon account.
Following Registration Instructions: Proceed with the sign-up process by responding to the various prompts presented during registration.
Choosing Your Business Structure: During the registration, you'll have to decide whether to open your account as an individual or under a business entity like an LLC. You have the option to start as a Sole Proprietor or set up an LLC. While beginning with an LLC is advisable, starting as a Sole Proprietor and transitioning to an LLC later is also possible.
Gathering Essential Documents: Prepare to provide the following information for account verification:
Bank routing and account numbers
A chargeable credit card
A government-issued national ID
Tax information
Creating Your Storefront Name: Choose a name for your storefront. Opt for something catchy, smooth, and professional. For example, "Gladly Commerce". Using a tool like lean domain can be helpful for brainstorming.
Completing Verification and Waiting for Approval: Fill out the requested information and schedule a verification call, where you'll need the documents from Step 4. Following this call, there may be a two to three business day wait for account approval.
Amazon Selling Plans Overview
When you start selling on Amazon, you can choose between two selling plans:
Individual Plan: This plan has a cost of $0.99 per unit sold.
Professional Plan: This plan comes with a monthly fee of $40.
Note: Select the Professional Plan because we know you will sell more than 40 units/month and it is essential for BuyBox eligibility.
